Conny - the shopper 2/37
Conny - the shopper 2/37
This handmade, limited edition bag is a special memento of Dordrecht’s windmill heritage.
In 1220 Dordrecht was the first settlement in the province of Holland awarded city rights. So in 2020, there were great celebrations at the 800th birthday party.
The city’s last surviving windmill, Kyck over den Dyck, joined in the fun with specially designed sailcloths.
Only 37 bags have been made from a single sailcloth, and each one is unique.
Conny the shopper is the perfect shape and size to fill with baking supplies you picked up at the windmill shop, or veggies and cheese from the market.
We named this carry-all after a very creative local woman who knows absolutely everything about shopping.
Hand-made in South Holland by Emine, from the Rotterdams Handwerk team of home workers.
Number 2 in the series of 37
